A favourite of mine.

We all make mistakes – that’s definitely ok.

But when we already ‘know’ and continue to make the same mistakes…that’s when we need to pause and think about how to better apply our experience…or find the missing piece that enables us to do better.

Also true, is that the pursuit of knowledge without spending the time to practice its application is a waste. For example, ‘reading the book’ isn’t the goal…using what you’ve learnt is. I used to inhale personal development content, and then one day I realised that was less than half of the equation. So I started to practice what I’d learnt, and taking what worked for me, before I moved on to the next best seller.

The takeaway is that our ability to execute is made up of both knowledge AND the deliberate focus to apply it.
