You can grow through consistent, but easier exposure to ‘stress’. But the big growth comes from carrying on when you want to stop.
For the avoidance of doubt:
- You should only push like this for set periods of time – giving full gas isn’t something you need to do all day, everyday.
- This should only be applied to the important things – goals that are meaningful or commitments you’ve made.
- It’s ok to quit things that hold little or no meaning. Or once mattered, but no longer do. That creates space for new priorities.
So find the moment where you think you can’t, take a breath and move one step forward…
